Frequently Asked Questions
  • No. The Little Dates Club is intentionally different from dating apps. Instead of endless swiping and messaging, we curate a small number of meaningful dates each season. Our goal is to help you meet people in person and see where a real connection might lead. That’s actually one of the most common reasons people join. The Little Dates Club was created to offer an alternative to the frustrations of modern dating by encouraging real-life interactions and thoughtful introductions.

  • Our members are Catholic singles ages 18-35, who are living their faith and are interested in meeting others who share that commitment. Many are young professionals, students, or people involved in their parish communities.

  • As a nonprofit, we operate on a donation-based model. We suggest a contribution that helps cover the costs of organizing and matching, but we never want finances to be a barrier. Participants pay for their own expenses during the little dates (coffee, meals, etc.).

  • The mandatory orientation covers LDC expectations, dating etiquette, how to give feedback, safety guidelines, and answers any questions you have. It’s also a chance to meet other participants and get excited about the season ahead!

  • Completely normal. Many participants feel the same way at first. That’s why our dates are intentionally short and low-pressure. A typical first “Little Date” lasts about 60–75 minutes and is designed to be relaxed and comfortable. These are simple and low-pressure, like coffee at a café. The goal is to allow both people to focus on conversation and getting to know each other.

  • That’s perfectly okay. Not every introduction leads to a romantic connection, and that’s part of the process. Even when there isn’t a spark, participants often enjoy the conversation and appreciate meeting another Catholic in their community. If you haven’t found that match, you're welcome to join us again. There are members who have participated in multiple sessions.

  • We do not conduct background checks on members and participants. We require that all our new members attend a mandatory orientation to learn more about them and also introduce the rules and policies of LDC. We encourage participants to take standard precautions when meeting in person. We ask our members to contact our team if something uncomfortable or inappropriate occurs. While we cannot mediate personal relationships, we do take member safety and conduct seriously and may take action if someone violates our community standards.

  • We typically run three sessions throughout the year, Spring, Summer, and Fall. Exact dates may vary by city, and participants will be notified once registration opens for the next session. Each dating session typically runs for 8-10 weeks. During this time, you’ll go on your chosen number of dates (between 3-12) with different members. This structure allows you to focus on quality connections without the overwhelming nature of continuous dating.

  • Throughout the session, we offer optional online interactive workshops on topics like Catholic dating advice, attachment style, emotional intelligence, belief systems, navigating difficult conversations, discernment in relationships, and building faith-centered connections.

  • Start by completing our online interest form.  When the next session sign up opens you will receive a link to fill out the form where you’ll share information about your faith life, interests, values, and relationship goals. After submitting your application, you’ll be invited to attend a short orientation where we explain how the program works and answer questions before the session begins.

  • Members are expected to treat one another with kindness, respect, and honesty. The Little Dates Club is committed to fostering a community rooted in Catholic values and healthy dating culture.

  • Most online platforms rely on algorithms and messaging. The Little Dates Club focuses on intentional in-person encounters. By meeting face-to-face in a structured and supportive environment, people often discover connections they might never have pursued online.
